# Chat actions

> Create connections, manage pulses, update source groups, and edit workspace configuration using natural language commands in Chartcastr AI chat.

## Overview

The Chartcastr AI Chat isn't just for asking questions—it's a powerful tool for taking action. You can manage your connections, pulses, and configuration directly through natural language.

## Key Actions

### Creating Connections

You can set up new connections by simply describing what you want to achieve.

* *"Set up a new Google Sheets connection for my Marketing dashboard"*
* *"Link the Sales tab from this spreadsheet to the #revenue Slack channel"*

### Managing Pulses

Interact with your existing pulses without navigating through the dashboard.

* *"Show me my latest pulses"*
* *"When is the next pulse for the Product team scheduled?"*
* *"Disable the Daily Revenue pulse for the weekend"*

### Bulk Updates with Source Groups

Manage your sources at scale using Chat, including context assignments.

* *"Group all my Shopify sources into a new 'Ecommerce' group"*
* *"Add the 'Q1 Strategy' document as [External Context](/analysis/context/overview) to all sources in the Marketing group"*
* *"Update all sources in the Sales group to use the same analysis template"*

### Configuration Edits

Quickly modify your workspace settings and context.

* *"Update the [User Notes](/analysis/context/user-notes) for my Slack Revenue connection to mention the Q4 promotion"*
* *"Invite [sarah@company.com](mailto:sarah@company.com) to this workspace as an admin"*
* *"Change the reporting timezone to EST for all my pulses"*

## Workflow Automation

Chat can help you stitch together complex tasks into simple commands. For example:
*"Create a new source group for all European sales data and set up a weekly Slack pulse to #emea-growth every Friday at 9am."*

## Feedback Loop

When you ask Chat to perform an action, it will usually provide a confirmation or a draft of the changes. You can review and refine the action before it's finalized.

* *"Looks good, go ahead"*
* *"Wait, change the delivery time to 10am instead"*
