# Triple Whale source

> Connect Triple Whale to Chartcastr for automated e-commerce metrics charts. Track Blended ROAS, MER, total sales, ad spend, CAC, and AOV delivered to Slack or email.

## Overview

Use Triple Whale as a data source for Chartcastr. Connect your Triple Whale account with an **API key** and Chartcastr will pull Summary Dashboard metrics — Blended ROAS, New Customer ROAS, MER, total and net sales, ad spend, gross profit, contribution margin, CAC, NCPA, AOV, orders, new customers, and more — to generate charts delivered automatically to Slack or email.

Triple Whale is the leading DTC e-commerce analytics and attribution platform. Chartcastr connects with read-only access via Triple Whale's API (`x-api-key`) — no pixel changes required.

  Triple Whale is available on Chartcastr's **paid plans**. Free plans can forward a single **Total Sales** metric (delivered without AI analysis).

## Setup

  <Step title="Generate a Triple Whale API key">
    Open your [Triple Whale API keys page](https://app.triplewhale.com/api-keys) and click **Generate**. Give the key a description and grant the **Summary Page: Read** scope (Chartcastr only reads summary metrics). Copy the key.

  <Step title="Find your shop domain">
    Your shop domain is the Shopify domain Triple Whale is scoped to (e.g. `example.myshopify.com`). You can find it in your [Triple Whale store settings](https://app.triplewhale.com/store-settings/general).

  <Step title="Connect in Chartcastr">
    In Chartcastr, go to **Admin → Settings → Source Integrations**, find **Triple Whale**, click **Connect**, and paste your API key plus your shop domain. Chartcastr validates the key before saving it (encrypted at rest).

  <Step title="Select a metric">
    Choose which metric to track. Each metric becomes its own source. You can add multiple sources to send different charts on different schedules.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Create a connection">
    Pick or add a destination (Slack channel or email), set the delivery frequency, and optionally enable AI summaries.

## Available Metrics

Chartcastr supports **18 pre-built Triple Whale metrics** across three categories.
