Overview

When you no longer need a source or a connection but want to keep its configuration or historical data, you can Archive it. Archiving removes the item from your active lists but keeps it available for future restoration if needed.

Archiving a Connection

Connections can be archived at any time. Archiving a connection will immediately stop all scheduled deliveries associated with it.
  1. Go to AdminManageConnections.
  2. Locate the connection you wish to archive.
  3. Click the Archive button (or select it from the actions menu).

Archiving a Source

To maintain data integrity, a source can only be archived if it has no active connections pointing to it.
[!IMPORTANT] If you try to archive a source that still has active connections, you will be prompted to archive those connections first.
  1. Go to AdminManageSources.
  2. Ensure all connections linked to this source are archived or deleted.
  3. Click the Archive button on the source.

Finding Archived Items

Archived items are hidden by default to keep your active workspace clean. You can find them by clicking the “See archived…” links located at the bottom of the Sources and Connections pages. Archived Links Use the links in the footer to access archived items.

Resurrecting Items

If you desperately need to restore an archived item:
  1. Navigate to the archived items list (see above).
  2. Locate the archived source or connection.
  3. Click the Restore or Resurrect button.
  4. The item will move back to your active list and resumes its previous configuration.
[!TIP] Sources should usually be restored before their associated connections if you plan on re-activating the entire pipeline.
