Overview

Use AppsFlyer as a data source for Chartcastr. Connect your AppsFlyer account with an API V2 token and create charts for installs, attribution, revenue, cost, and in-app events, then deliver them automatically to Slack or email. Chartcastr uses the AppsFlyer Pull API v5 with read-only access. No data is written to your AppsFlyer account.

Prerequisites

  • An AppsFlyer account with access to Security Center (to generate an API V2 token)
  • At least one app registered in your AppsFlyer account

Get an API V2 Token

1

Open Security Center

In AppsFlyer, go to My accountSecurity CenterManage your AppsFlyer API tokens.
2

Create a new token

Click + New token. Give it a name (e.g. “Chartcastr”), select type API token (not “Admin API token”), and click Create.
3

Copy the token

Copy the token. It will not be shown again after you navigate away. Tokens expire after 180 days — rotate them in Security Center before expiry.
All AppsFlyer API tokens issued before 2026-03-10 19:00 UTC were revoked by AppsFlyer. If you have an older token, generate a new one from Security Center.

Setup

1

Connect your AppsFlyer account

In Chartcastr, go to Settings > Source Integrations and find AppsFlyer. Click Connect, paste your API V2 token, and click Test & Connect. Chartcastr validates the token and imports your app list.
2

Select an app and metric

Pick one of your apps from the list, then choose a metric. Each metric becomes its own source. A live preview of your data will appear inline. Revenue, cost, and ROAS metrics require a Pro plan.
3

Create a connection

Pick a destination (Slack or email), set the schedule, and optionally enable AI summaries. Chartcastr will automatically generate and deliver AI-analyzed charts on your schedule.

Available Charts

Chartcastr supports 12 pre-built AppsFlyer metrics across five categories. See Available Charts for the full reference table.

Troubleshooting

“Invalid or expired API token” — Your token may have been revoked. Go to AppsFlyer → Security Center → Manage API tokens and generate a new one. No apps appear after connecting — Ensure your AppsFlyer account has at least one active app and your token has access to the Master API (/api/mng/apps). Revenue/cost metrics show locked — These metrics require a Pro plan. Upgrade your plan to unlock them. Data appears 1-2 days behind — AppsFlyer aggregate reports have a 24–48 hour processing delay. This is expected behavior from the AppsFlyer Pull API.
