Overview

Use Umami as a data source for Chartcastr. Connect your Umami workspace with a website ID and API token, then deliver traffic and breakdown charts to Slack or email with AI-generated analysis. Chartcastr connects with read-only access to your Umami analytics data. No write permissions are requested.

Setup

Create an Umami API token

In Umami, go to Settings → API Keys and create a token with access to the website you want to report on.

Find your Website ID

Open the relevant site in Umami and copy the Website ID from the settings or site details screen.

Connect in Chartcastr

In Chartcastr, create a new source and choose Umami Analytics. Enter your Umami base URL, website ID, and API token, then validate the connection.

Select a metric

Choose the traffic or breakdown metric you want to track. Each metric becomes its own source.

Create a connection

Pick a destination, choose your schedule, and optionally enable AI summaries.

Chartcastr supports 11 pre-built Umami metrics across traffic trends and breakdowns.

Traffic

Pageviews, visitors, sessions, bounce rate, and average visit duration over time.

Breakdowns

Top pages, referrers, browsers, operating systems, devices, and countries.
