Overview
Use DataFast as a data source for Chartcastr. Connect your DataFast account with an API key and Chartcastr will pull visitor metrics, revenue data, conversion rates, and traffic breakdowns to generate charts delivered automatically to Slack or email. DataFast is a fast, privacy-focused web analytics platform. Chartcastr connects with read-only access to your site’s analytics data.Setup
Create a DataFast API Key
In DataFast, go to your Site Settings → API Keys and create a new key. Copy the key — you’ll need it in the next step.
Connect in Chartcastr
In Chartcastr, go to New Source and select DataFast. Paste your API key and click Test & Connect to validate the connection.Chartcastr will verify the key by fetching your site metadata. If successful, your domain name will appear as confirmation.
Select a metric
Choose which analytics metric to track. Each metric becomes its own source. You can add multiple sources to send different charts on different schedules.

Revenue attributed to traffic sources each day.

Conversion rate trend over the last 30 days.

Top referrers, top pages, top countries, and top campaigns.

Authentication
DataFast uses API key authentication. Your key is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before storage and is never exposed in the Chartcastr UI — only the first 4 characters are shown for identification. To rotate your key, go to the DataFast integration settings in Chartcastr and update the API key. Chartcastr will re-validate the new key before saving.Next Steps
